The Blame Game about Covid management is going on in every country big and small. When top medical specialists themselves do not know what is going on and how to manage the Pandemic, we cannot expect politicians to wave a magic wand and fix it.
They will be damned if they do and damned if they don't. Every government in every country big and small is facing criticism. The truth is no one knows what to do. If Australians struggle in a huge continent with a meager 25 million population, look at India about one third the size of Australia with 1300 million people.
Perhaps Indian Govt should have decentralized covid management and provided more funds to State Chief ministers to take charge. Right now India is like a rudderless boat drifting in the ocean
Just speaking my minds as always. So saddened and feeling helpless reading news from India on Covid.
India was doing well but made the mistake of letting go two months ago with people assembling in churches, mosques and temples as if Covid was gone; add to it election campaigns and Kumbmela. What a disaster in the making.
Now No ICU beds in Hospital which have run out of oxygen too. Here are a few articles on Oxygen problems faced by Hospitals in India.

Policy Paralysis
Hanuman Mal Bengani ex CEO of Linde India.
Linde is one of the largest oxygen producers in India
“Having spent my life time of 45 years in oxygen industry and involved with setting up 50% of production capacities in india ( as business head of Linde) I can share few things which will probably clear some of your thoughts.
First few facts
1) Industrial and medical oxygen are same product produced in same plant, stored in same tanks and filled in same cylinders. For medical oxygen the gas company just have to analyse each batch and certify. No other difference. In fact for industrial we need 99.5% pure oxygen where as for medical as per pharmocopea all over world is 93+\-3%.
2) There is absolutely no shortage of oxygen product in india. You will be surprised to know that less than 1% of oxygen production capacity is used for medical purposes. Even in corona times it may go up to three times or even 5%. But that’s it.
2) I would estimate total oxygen production capacity in india to be around 100,000 tons per day ( or may be more) and around 80% of oxygen production capacities are with steel companies where oxygen gas is produced and used in iron making as well as steel making. Yes, Reliance Jamnagar has 22000 tons per day capacity for petcoke gasification.
3) Most of captive plant are in East india, some in west ( Mumbai and Gujarat) and some in Karnataka. These plants typically produce 5-10% of product as liquid which is stored in large tanks. This liquid is used by them as back up when plant is down and also to meet peak demands.
4) There are several stand alone liquid oxygen plants owned by gas companies like Linde and Innox where they produce liquid oxygen and sell to various customers through tankers and tanks.
5) Several refillers around country buy liquid from gas companies and fill gas cylinders after vaporising liquid
6) Oxygen is generally delivered to end user by three means. Directly through pipe line from plant to end user which is say 80% of product. 15% or so is delivered in liquid form through tanks and tankers and less than 5% through cylinders
So why are we facing crisis today ?
I think combination of followings
1) Shortage of distribution assets ie road tankers, storage tanks and cylinders. Mind you these are expensive. Each road tanker costs 45 lakhs on road and a cylinder costs around 10,000 in which you sell oxygen just worth Rs 300. These assets have been built by gas companies based on normal times. There is only that much one can do with these assets
2) Logistics management. Most of Plants are located in select geographies. So distribution assets travel fair distance ( 200-1000 kms) to deliver to customer. Now even with good roads a tanker takes around 7-10 days to make a round trip and a cylinder also takes that much turn around.
3) Desire of gas companies to focus on what maximises their profits
Last but not least this wave came so quick it took our government administration with pants down. Had they thought of this impending danger and prepared, a major crisis could have been avoided. But that’s easy said than done knowing our democratic set up. Now Govt are taking steps. In hindsight I think Govt could have planned followings
1) Strict advisory to gas companies to use all distribution assets for medical purpose only from day one. They could provide compensation to gas companies for this just like MSP for food grains.
2) Advise all captive plants owners not to use a drop of liquid oxygen from plant / tank for their process use until they are full.
3) Using rails to transport through green door track
4) All hospitals could have installed PSA captive plants. PMO had announced 200 crores for all district hospitals and they could have around 500 plants. In usual public sector tendering process not even 15% of that has been used
5) CEO of large hospitals are also equally responsible. When they charge such huge money from public, they should have better prepared them selves. For what they get fat salaries and bonuses. Once this crisis is over I think some heads of CEO of large hospitals must roll.
No more for now. Any one wishes to know more may contact me on one to one basis.”

Modi agents and capitalists doing
1. Ambani supplying 700 Tonnes of oxygen everyday to Delhi, Gujrat, Maharastra for free to save peoples life.
2. Jindal group diverting 400 tonnes of oxygen from their steel plants to Karnataka.
3. TATA bought 24 cryogenic trucks to supply liquid oxygen and supplying 300 tonnes of oxygen on a daily basis to various state govt and hospitals.
4. SAIL said they supplied 33300 tonnes of LMO for the treatment of corona patients which meant for industrial use.
5. AMNS said they supplied 200 tonnes of medical oxygen per day to Gujrat.
What socialists are doing?
Tweeting and blaming these capitalists day in and day out. Understand these seculars and socialists moto. Don't fall in their trap..

Friends, I'm posting the submission and write-up made by my friend Mr. N Ramakrishnan, an Environmentalist at Chennai, in his e-affidavit to Supreme Court today in its hearing on the perceived Oxygen shortage in the country.
Mr. Ramakrishnan is a Chemical Engineer from PSG College of Engineering and is also Vice President - Technology Development at EID Parry.
Please read through this fully and circulate this to the maximum for the sheer truth on the position of oxygen availability across the country.

Is there a shortage of Oxygen
Note : The following message is not for school dropouts like Kamal Hassan as there are some basic calculations which they cannot understand.
Well, the whole opposition is using the Corona pandemic as an opportunity to hit at PM Modi and claim that the BJP government has failed in controlling the spread. When the whole world is suffering due to the pandemic all the opposition parties instead of supporting the government behave in a very obscene and vulgar manner to take political mileage.
It is a war like situation now and the armchair comments of the opposition not only expose the sick mind set of politicians but also the mob mentality of the educated and the elite in our society which is called Sheep mentality. These people are the vultures sitting near the dead bodies.
Why do I say so?
Now there is a big hue and cry everywhere that there is a shortage of Oxygen and Modi government had failed to meet the demand of Oxygen. The media plays a big role in blowing the issue out of proportion . Shall we do a small calculation to check whether there is really a shortage of Oxygen or it is a media and political hype?
Well, when we say "Oxygen" supplied, it is NOT PURE OXYGEN that is administered to a corona patient. If one has atleast passed class 9, one will know that the atmospheric air has 21% oxygen and 79% Nitrogen and this referred in terms of Volume like liters and kiloliters. Ok. What is given to patients is nothing but AIR ENRICHED TO 22 % OXYGEN. Understood?
What is the value of this additional oxygen in kilograms that increases the Oxygen concentration from 21% to 22 % in air? Let us calculate.
The calculations start with the knowledge on the weight of air per liter or per KL. The weight of air will be about 1.25 grams / liter or 1.25 kg / Kiloliter.
How big is the volume of one Kiloliter? One kiloliter is equal to a small tank where one person can sit and take bath. It will be a tank having length x breadth x height of 1 meter x 1 meter x 1 meter. Imagine a bath tub and that will be about 1 kiloliter. If one fills up a one kiloliter tank with water, one needs 1000 kg of water.
The above calculation shows that the density of air is 1.25 kg / KL while the density of water is 1000 kg/KL and air is about 1000 times lighter than water.
Now let us calculate the Oxygen needed per patient per day and anyone can check this number with doctors.
On an average a patient needs 10 liters / min of this *ENRICHED AIR This is equal to 14400 liters of air per patient per day. For ease of calculation we will make it 15000 liters per patient per day.
As air already has 21 % Oxygen we will check how much Oxygen is needed to increase the Oxygen content to 22%. This is again class 5 maths.
21% Oxygen in 15000 liters of air = 15000 x 21/100 = 3150 liter
22% Oxygen in 15000 liters of air = 15000x 22/100=
3300 liter.
Extra Oxygen needed =
3300 lit -- 3150 lit =150 lit.
This is about 213 grams or 0.21 kg. In other words a patient needs only 0.210 kg of Pure Oxygen per patient per day.
The already available medical Oxygen capacity in the state is 250 tons / day. This is sufficient for 12 lakh people.
The number of Corona patients as on today is 89428 or close to 1 lakh patients.
GUYS WHAT ARE WE TALKING...... When the availability of Oxygen is for 12 lakh people in the State and the patients are only 1 lakh, where is the shortage?....... Have these politicians and media gone nuts?
Industries like Sterlite can make 1000 mtpd of Oxygen from air and this is the condition in each state. All the major corporates from each State are now willing to supply pure Oxygen to people anywhere between 200 tpd to 1000 tpd at FREE OF COST ,
Now just think who supports the nation during a crisis and who are patriots ........The Corporates who are wiling to assit people or Arm chair opposition politicians .....
Hello all..... Just think ...... Who caused this second wave? The ruling BJP or the dirty opposition? When Government was tightly balancing the life and livelihood situation, the opposition pressed for livelihood and the government obliged. But the people did not listen to government and showed indiscipline. If you have understood the calculations then blame the people for the second wave.
Sue the Opposition Politicians and the media, which spreads lies and feel happy if you believe the lies
Finally, challenge the calculations if you can.
