My Independence Day Message to all Indians in my Whatsapp Network
I was born on 10th Dec 1946 in Port Blair Andamans a pre Independence Baby, to celebrate Independence day. Japanese had occupied Port Blair Andamans during WW II and had surrendered and left the Islands and the population in a mess. My Dad who worked for the British Army in the Supplies department during WW II, was appointed as the Jailer in charge of Cellular jail where the British had dumped all freedom fighters from mainland and my Dad freed them all from the prison cells. I wish I knew when all political prisoners were released from cellular jail, most probably after India got its independence. Also keen on finding out list of key freedom fighters who were incarcerated in Indias Alcatraz. I have to do a Google Search to day. I Think Bharatiyaar was there too. If you find any info do let me know. Let us all reunite join hands and make our Independent nation stronger. United we Stand Divided we Fall. Saathe Haath Badana. Jai Hind.
