SMULE PROs and CONs
- Smule is Pro Apple IoS not the best for Androids
- Smule is Only For Mob Phone app not suitable for Computers
- Membership fee Varies with Region and varies based on who you buy membership from Apple Store, Google Play or Directly from Smule web site
- Smule has Feed, Explore, Songbook, Notifications & Profile. Initially out of curiosity I used to look at Feed, Explore and Songbook. These days ONLY look at Notifications and Profile
- Being a Mobile phone App major issues with external Microphones and Mixers etc etc requiring special Mobile Phone Interfaces with very few on the market.
- Every new generation Apple phone or iPad is different wrt to hardware and software from previous models that Smule developer have to constantly upgrade their soft ware and what suits the latest iPhone does nit mean it will suit all older models of i Phone or iPads
- Smule's main focus seems to be its bottom line nothing wrong with that as long as they do not let their customers down
- UPLOADS: In Smule every man and his Donkey can Upload songs. Some of the uploads are TRASH and should not have been allowed at all as it wastes customers precious time. Working people love to come home and enjoy recording a few songs and have the right to assume that all Sing Uploads are of the Highest quality
- SMULE SEARCH FACILITY is PATHETIC: For example Just key in Wonderful World. For the One Song there are five options displayed by the search facility Mind you all for the same song. Now what am I supposed to do ? Which one do I choose ? Uploaders use all sorts of strategies to have their upload show up at the top. It is almost like what businesses do to get to the top spot on Google searches. Common sense tells me all five options should be combined and arranged in order of popularity Most used at the top and least used right at the bottom. This will discourage Tom Dick and Harry from Uploading garbage
- Book Marked List: There are so many options to Book mark a song you want to sing. First is to look at all invites from members we follow and mark the ones we know and would like to sing. We can also book mark invites from a new follower or invites as seen when we do dong searches. Once we book mark how difficult is it for a software to order them all wrt to Expiry dater and time ? Right now they are all over the place and displayed in the order we book marked I might have 100 book marked songs and my 101 Book mark might expire in one day but is sitting right at the top and I miss it.
- Book marks are displayed with the one that expires first right at the bottom. Common sense tells me I want it Right at the Top so I can sing it and delete it after recording. No Smule developers cannot understand this as it is too complicated
- Followers and Following: We all follow members whose singing we like and we are generally being followed by members who like our singing. Now personally I would like to have a list of My Followers whom I follow as they like me and I like them too Personally I want to sing with members whom I follow and who follow me. I see no point in joining an Invite which has 300 joins. and that means your recording will not be heard. then why record at all ?
