I need to relate something very interesting here.
I turned 50 in 1996 and Mithu had organised a fantastic party and invited all members of the Acoustic fraternity I was close to (with my consent of course)
Grandest Party at home attended by over 150 guests family and friends. She had organised even a Belly Dancer to shock me and my best friend Billu did the catering. Awesome night and I was grinning from ear to ear and looking like Steve Jobs too but not as many zeros in my bank account but that did not matter.
It was well past midnight and most of the guests and family had left bar a few close friends. Sujatha came and sat down next to me and said "Ramda can I read your Palm and see what the future holds for you?"
Not that I believed in palmistry but I obliged to keep Sujata happy. She started to look at my palm and I noticed the smile on her face slowly faded away and she looked closer at the palm and looked even more disturbed. Next she asked to see Mithu's palm. Bluffed me that her palm had a big influence on my future too. She seemed extremely happy seeing Mithu's hand and then started to talk.
Mithudi you are the one with money between the two of you and you will always have enough. Ramda I am shocked to say I have never seen a hand like yours ever.
You do not have any Wealth or Money what ever you call it and I just cannot explain it as I am not an expert palmist.
I told her she was not going to ruin my party plus I do not believe in all this Bullshit Palmistry and Astrology etc.
Why would some one say this on a special B day ?
I told Mithu dont worry about this BS as I was earning good money and on an absolute high having won so many major contracts for Noise Control including the Sydney Harbour Tunnel
Exactly four years later at age 54 in year 2000 my life changed totally reducing me to a vegetable and Sujatha's prediction came True.
I have not earned one Cent since 13th April 2000 but I am not short of money either and Mithu took over like a champion earning and putting food on the table and I was able to dig into my savings and superannuation and our life style if anything has gone up and better than we had before year 2000.
The Only thing that has gone backward is my Health and my personal Bank Balance.
Remember this is my Second Innings and I am not Complaining about anything what so ever.
