108 - An Invite to a Mock Parliament,

An Invite to a Mock Parliament,

I have as many as 600 contacts in my Whatsapp and I am in constant touch with most of them on a regular basis. That is me "I love human interaction and exchange of ideas and thoughts, but I hate talking on the Phone as most often it is trivial gossip not worth the time. What people write is different as it is a reflection of their minds and inner thoughts most often".

Remember the Old Adage "The Face is the index of the Mind " . With the advent of the Internet and social media etc in the 21st Century, I am Convinced that "What people write is an Index of their Minds"

Year 2020 has brought to surface a very ugly and shallow side of the Human Nature. "Human Beings Criticise anything and everything"  We are the armChair Pundits who sit and watch TV or read news put out by the Media, most often Paid Media and we criticise. Most humans do not know what a Virus is and don't bother finding out either, yet they criticise every move the Government Makes in every country even though they have no better solutions.

My observation in life is that Empty vessels make the most sound meaning People who cannot cook for nuts are the most critical of dishes cooked by others; people who cannot sing Baa Baa Black sheep are the ones who will criticise other singers. People who are good cooks and singers know the degree of difficulty involved and give positive feed back as well as constructive tips to improve. I have noticed this in my journey on Smule the last three years. I have learnt so much from the better singers I follow as I strive to reach their standards. I love the chosen 75 Singers I follow as they are there every day to say sweet encouraging things that makes me happy.

Unless You are a singer you won't appreciate the other person's efforts. Same is true for any walk of life, especially Politics

Of all Leaders, USA's Donald Trump and India's Modi have copped the most flak from Arm Chair Pundits and Consultants. Elected leaders what ever their persuasion, do what they believe is the best of options available to them and are constantly taking advice from experts they rely on. Arm Chair Pundits who have no better solutions should spare the world.

After all what would O Bama have done better as President of USA had he been in Charge Now ? What would the ManMohan Singh led Congress Party have done to address the Covid Problems ? Imagine Rahul Gandhi at the helm. (Thank God he is not). Buggerall.

Can Kamala Harris kill Covid ?
No but the hype only because she is a Woman and half African and half Indian and is the perfect candidate to leverage Black Lives Matter movement, yet what is she going to bring to the Table ? Peace, National Growth ? Covid Cure ? No Sir she will bring Dosa Batter and nothing More ( said in Pun no offense meant)

Of my 600 Whatsapp Contacts there are heaps of IIT Alumni. "The so called Brains of India, with high IQ who crammed and passed an entrance exam meant for aliens as the standard was unbelievably and unnecessarily high for school leavers, it is a process not to select but to eliminate the majority..

I say this as I know not everyone who made it to IIT is a Genius. May be 10% were the India's best the rest 90% slogged through cramming and clearing exams and even excelling at cramming and regurgitation only to find a plumb job in the Govt where they could spend a life time doing buggerall besides sucking up to bosses for promotions and benefits. I am aware of Govt servants who do errands & grocery shopping for politicians..

The slightly smarter ones join the Private sector where one has no choice but to perform to help increase the bottom line for the employer's business. Basically IITians are better performers as Slaves compared to other Engineering graduates most of whom end up as Tourist drivers as it pays a lot more than Rs 10000 a month as a mechanical engineer, not enough to buy onions or tomatoes..

I am inviting friends and family who are game to join a MOCK parliament and pick whatever portfolio you wish to take in the Cabinet say Home Ministry, Treasury and Finance, Health, Industry, Education, Agriculture what ever and suggest what you would bring to the table for a Better India by 2030. Better short bullet Points as opposed to long winded articles losing emphasis.

Now you are your own Boss.

You chose your Portfolio and tell me what changes  you'd like to bring about to Make India the Coveted Country in the world to live a Life.

As a first step I am more interested in determining what percentage of the population in my Contact List are even game enough to participate in a Mock Parliament , leave alone enter Politics. Ofcourse most will say they are too busy to play such games.
